United Way of Mid Rural New York is proud to offer an interest-free microloan of up to $2,000, designed to support individuals and families facing unforeseen, short-term financial needs. Whether it’s getting your car back on the road so you can get to work, fixing a broken furnace in the middle of winter, or covering medical expenses that came out of nowhere—this microloan can provide the support you need to stay stable and keep moving forward.
The program’s uses are limited aiding those in event of an unexpected emergency, in pursuit of, or retention of employment, or to improve employability status, including individual degrees or certification.
The program may not be used for back rent or utilities and is not intended to aid with recurring monthly bills.
This is more than just a loan. It's part of a “Pay It Forward” initiative. You receive help when you need it most—and when you pay it back (over a period of up to two years, interest-free), you’re helping ensure that others in your community will have the same opportunity when they face hard times.
